A Praying Community

Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs too deep for words.
-Romans 8:26

Prayer is our conversations that we have with God. Prayer is at the centre of our worship. It is in praying that we connect with our creator. It is our side of the relationship in which we speak to the One who made the universe. It is a conversation that acknowledges that Someone we cannot see with our own eyes, or hear as we hear others is nevertheless, there and there for us.

We come to God in prayer, to name God as the One who is in our lives. None of us see God, and yet, here in worship, we all speak to our maker out loud, as though Divinity is right there in the room with us. We see, with the eyes of faith, that God lives and we want to be connected to our Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer.

We pray as a gathered community. We pray in our cars, in our homes, and in our workplaces. We pray out loud. We pray silently. We pray for others. We pray for ourselves. We pray because we believe God hears us and wants to help us.

If you want us to pray for you, please contact the minister. We want to support you, in our reaching out to God.
